Life in Canada is nothing less than surprise!
Canada’s education system is something that has dragged me here. I really appreciate the affordable and diverse education being provided by Canadian institutions.
I landed in Canada on one cold winter in December 28,2018 and since then my life is full of experiences and adventures. After my arrival in Kamloops, my initial days was bit harsh as the winters are dry and white. Although, I’ve accepted this weather now and love it! I have made a lot of friends there and created a lot of memories.
When I first reached in Canada, I opt for Thompson Rivers University but moved to prince George after comparing the two cities. I heard about College of New Caledonia through my best friend who was studying in the same college. I was worried about as I don’t have much friends in Prince George, but I decided to go because I liked the location of the city. I love to travel, and Prince George is in the middle of British Columbia.
Initially, I am from Nahan in Himachal Pradesh, India. Nahan is a lovely little town that has rolling hills alive with birdsong, gentle peal of temple bells and legendary kingdom of Sirmour. My place is quite like Prince George when talk about hills and crowd. But the major difference I have seen is the development and weather especially winters that are full of snow. I really enjoy living in Prince George. This city gives me the sense of safety and relaxation. It gives the opportunity to every single person to grow and develop. I am recently, working with Walmart and I enjoy working there because they keep everyone on the same page.
I am presently living in Downtown. The place is basically the heart of the city. As you will find every downtown in Canada beautiful, energetic and active. It’s known for buzzing nightlife and by day, it’s a busy shopping hub. You will find many different types of restaurant and café in prince George. So basically, one can try every cuisine from different places here.
The college life is way to interesting because I have the chance to share my culture with different people from different countries. I love that professors have the time for students and can answer your queries in the class itself. So, one does not have write mails and ask for the appointments. They really value your time and always there to help you in person. So, you never feel lost in the college and feel engaged and motivated.
The affordability and low cost of living is one the advantages to live in prince George. During your student life, you can buy a good car easily on installments. Moreover, buying a dream house is realistic and easy goal here. Other reason for being in this city is that you don’t have to waste your free time in traffic. And last but the best part is people living here will never judge you or discriminate against you. The only thing that needs to be improved is the transportation services. The buses are available but there are very few buses that makes the traveler to wait a lot.
If international students want to come to Canada, then I would really suggest them to choose prince George and enroll for programs in College of New Caledonia. The best reason to be in this institution is low fees in comparison with other colleges and the best staff and campus so far, that really is icing on the cake.
My favorite thing about Prince George is the vibe of the city. I feel so capable, independent and hopeful walking the streets of Prince George. And I would love to stay in Prince George unless I must move to enhance my career growth.
